Spencer Family YMCA

DiMarco Construction completed a complex, multi-phase renovation of the Spencer Family YMCA, transforming portions of the existing hockey arena facility into a modern aquatic and fitness center.

The project required excavation of permafrost beneath the former rink slab, construction of new indoor swimming pools within the existing structure, roof replacement, and installation of a sophisticated HVAC system capable of balancing drastically different climate requirements between ice rink and pool environments. Construction was phased over approximately 18 months while portions of the facility remained operational.
